February 2018 Squarespace Product Updates
Every week as a Squarespace Circle Member (sign-up if you regularly build client websites) we get the latest product updates sent to our email. We realized that even though this community is growing, there are a lot of other Squarespace users that don’t get these updates, so the Brad Good team wanted to compile the most important changes every month in a easy to read blog post.
If you are wondering about all of the new updates Squarespace released in February, read more below!
Week: January 29 to February 4.
Premium Feature Design Refresh
Squarespace launched an updated design for Premium Features in panels and blocks. Thanks to your feedback, they have made these notifications smaller and less intrusive, with clearer messaging. Improved Tabbed Spacing In Dialogs
Squarespace widened the tabs in all editor windows and dialogs, which helps with usability and will give the UI plenty of room for languages that use more characters per word.

Gallery Blocks In Squarespace Blog App (iOS)
The latest iOS version of the Blog app now includes the ability to add Gallery Blocks! This is a great way to create visual heavy posts using the images already stored on your phone.
Highlights
To keep you in the loop about changes to Squarespace documentation and resources, Squarespace occasionally recaps notable additions to guides on support.squarespace.com:
Understanding automatic hyphenation - A short guide explaining how auto-hyphenation works and ways to disable it.
Form & Button Conversion Analytics - A new guide on using this panel and how Squarespace calculates the numbers.
Building a site without images - A guide with advice on how to design writer portfolios and other sites without imagery.

Week: February 5 to February 11.
Squarespace en Español
Squarespace launched a fully-translated Spanish Squarespace platform. Spanish-speaking customers can edit their account language, which lets them access backend tools, like Analytics and editing tools, in their native language.
Customers can also change their site language to Spanish for templates in the Brine family. This translates built-in, visitor-facing text, like Previous and Next on blog pages, Search filler text, and error messages. The Spanish template store also has Spanish versions of 15 of our most popular Brine templates.
Check out the announcement post from Product Manager Amish Shah for more information.
Week: February 12 to February 18.
Remove The Grey Background In A Gallery Block Slideshow
By popular demand, you can now make the background of a Slideshow Gallery Block transparent and remove the classic grey color. In the Gallery Block’s Design tab, check Transparent Background. This option only appears when Automatically Crop Images is unchecked.
